Description
This member of the Music Through Time series includes a tempting selection of pieces from the Baroque to the present day arranged for Clarinet and Piano by Paul Harris.
There are pieces by composers well-known for their Clarinet music, such as Mozart, Lefevre and Baermann; beautiful arrangements of a Bach Sinfonia and a Mendelssohn Song Without Words; lively pieces such as Dances From Szeged, based on Hungarian folk dances, and Vaughan Williams' Christmas Dance, which make excellent concert items; and pieces by less familiar composers like Whitelocke and Molter.
All material has been specially selected and edited for students of grades 5 to 6 standard, and the pieces are in chronological order, with brief notes placing them in history.
